Odes Earnest Deaton got out of going to WW1 because he had a wife to support.

My Daddy Odes Earnest Deaton died when I was only 8 and died from cancer. I don't remember a lot about him, but I know that he worked at the cannery in Walhalla, was a farmer and also worked at JP Stevens in SEneca, SC.
