Paul Killian Barker, 85, of Rt. 3, Seneca, died Wednesday night at his home.
He was the son of the late J. L. O. and Harriet Alexander Barker. He as a retired farmer and had lived most of his life in Oconee County. He was a deacon at the Earl's Grove Baptist Church for 20 years and was on of the oldest members.
He was a veteran of WWI and served overseas.
Surviving are his wife Mrs Ora Arve Barker, three sons, Henry Barker of Tullahoma, Tenn., Donald and George Barker both of Seneca; a daughter, Mrs Harriet Howard of Pickens; two sisters, Mrs J. C. Brown of McCombs, Miss., and Mrs O. T. Morgan of Pickens; 11 grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted Friday at 3 p. m. at the Earl's Grove Baptist Church by Rev. J. W. Stillers. Burial was in Conross Baptist Church Cemetery, Near Walhalla. Nephews served as pallbearers. Brown Funeral Home was in charge.
