Services for Namon "Everett" Green, 88, former Minco resident, were held Saturday, March 31, 2012 at Assembly of God Church in Minco. Burial was at Evergreen Cemetery in Minco. Services were officiated by Rev. Aaron Warren, under the direction of Huber-Reynolds Funeral Home of Minco.
Everett was born October 24, 1923, at Mannsville, Oklahoma, to George and Florence (Collins) Green and died Tuesday, March 27, 2012 at his home in Bethany.
Everett was raised around Ardmore and Minco. He married Vera Mae Presson on January 24, 1944 in Roswell, New Mexico, after marrying the couple spent most of their life in the Texas Panhandle. They returned to Oklahoma from Pampa, Texas in 2002.
Everett was preceded in death by his parents, wife Vera on December 12, 2004, son-in-law Jim Thorp, grandson Billy Kenyon, three brothers and one sister.
He is survived by sons Mike and Gwen Green of Amarillo, Texas and Terry Green of Del City. daughters Coleen and Herb Nelson of Bethany abd Linda Thorp of Okalahoma City; five grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
