Mrs. Alice Cox Crumpton, 78, wife of B. F. Crumpton of Rt. 1 Mountain Rest, died Friday at Oconee Memorial Hospital after a long illness.
She was a native of Oconee county, daughter of the late Warren and Elizabeth Deaton Cox. She was a member of Monte Vista Baptist Church.
Surviving also are three sons, Jack and Robert Crumpton of Walhalla and Frank Crumpton of Greenville; two daughters, Mrs. Harold (Viola) Duncan of Greenville and Mrs. Joseph (Elizabeth) McCormick of Morristown, N.J., two sisters, Mrs. David Satterfield of Jacksonville, Fla., and Mrs. Roy Smith of Greenville; 11 grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
Funeral services were conducted Saturday at Davenport Funeral Home by the Rev. Robert Harden, the Rev. M. J. Stansell and the Rev. Robert Frederick. Burial was in Oconee Memorial Park. Pallbearers were grandsons.
