Doxie Hunter, 89, of LaFollette, formerly of Little Clear Creek, passed away on Tuesday, August 2, 2011 at St. Mary's Medical Center in LaFollette. She was born on January 28,1922 in Little Clear Creek, a daughter of the late Jeff and Sarah Money Fuson. She was a member of the Fuson Chapel Baptist Church and had worked at St. Regis Hospital in Housekeeping and in the dietary departments.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James L. Hunter, daughter Jimmie Lou Hunter and a host of brothers and sisters.

Survivors include her children, Virlan M. Hunter of Ewing, VA; Marvenna Tomblin of LaFollette, TN and Lavon Deifendeifer of Williston, FL; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, brother, Teddy Fuson and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Services will be at 1:00 PM Saturday at the Fuson Chapel Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Denny Hunter and Rev. Clint Goodin. Burial will be in the Fuson Chapel Cemetery with Family and friends serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends from 12 Noon until the funeral hour at the Fuson Chapel Missionary Baptist Church.
