A beloved soul and member of a New Smyrna Beach pioneer family, Victoria Lowd died at the age of 66 from a long suffering ailment. She was so courageous in her final days that death came as a shock to even those closest to her. Mrs. Lowd was a member of the Congregational church, where the services were conducted by the pastor Rev. E. H. Byrons, assisted by Rev. A. N. Elrod of the M. E. Church. She leaves two sons, E. K. and H. L. Lowd, and four daughters, Mrs. E. J. Westall, Mrs. C. R. Dilzer, Mrs. D. P. Smith and Miss Ada M. Lowd. The interment was in Hawks Park cemetery beside her husband, the late E. K. Lowd, Sr. The pall bearers were Messrs. B. F. Chilton, C.L. Dohn, J. R. Berry, W. P. Shryock, R. J. McCarthy and M. A. Brunson.
