Mrs. Emma Pugh Mann, 81, of Manteo, died Thursday morning [May 19, 1977] in the Cahoon Nursing Home, Belhaven, following a short illness. She was a native and life long resident of Manteo.
She was a member of the Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church, Manteo, Manteo Rebekah Lodge #52, Roanoke Island Chapter Order of Eastern Star #79.
She was the daughter of the late John and Mrs. Elnora Garrison Pugh and the wife of the late Cecil E. Mann.
She is survived by three daughters: Mrs. Pearl M. Lewis of Norfolk, Va., Mrs. Helen M. Hunter of Norfolk, Va. and Mrs. Hilda M. Midgett of Manteo; one son, Marvin L. Mann of Manteo; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Graveside services were conducted Saturday morning in the Garrison Family Cemetery, Wanchese by the Rev. Henry Bizzell, pastor of Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church.
