Frank Miller Prominent in Village Circles; Milan, MI--Frank Mortimer Miller, 67 years old, prominent in business and civic circles here for many years and proprietor of Miller's Drug Store since 1900, died Saturday at his home here following a brief illness. Mr. Miller was a member of the Milan Board of Education from 1905 to 1935, holding the offices of president and secretary at various times during that period. He was a member of the village council for several terms. His affiliations also included membership in the Chamber of Commerce, Milan Lodge, F&AM of which he was a past master, Milan chapter, OES, Knight of Pythias and Sons of the American Revolution. He had been an elder of the People's church since its organization. Son of the late James and Helen Miller, pioneer residents of Washtenaw county, he was one of the third generation of the Miller family born in this county. Mr. Miller was born Feb. 25, 1871 on a farm near Stony Creek. Following his graduation from a Chicago school of pharmacy, he married Caroline J. Kelsey on Oct. 29, 1894. The family lived for a short time in Cadillac, moving to Milan in 1900, where Mrs. Miller died Sept. 19, 1925. In November, 1933, Mr. Miller married Mrs. Nina Dennison, a lifelong friend of the family. He is survived by his widow; two daughters, Mrs. Milliard Phillips of Milan and Miss Doris Miller of Wyandotte; a son, Gerald Miller, who has been associated with his father in business for several years; four grandchildren, and a brother, Dr. James Miller of Cadillac. Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock tomorrow afternoon at the residence, Rev. William Jansen of the People's Church officiating and interment will be in Marble Park Cemetery.
