28 May 1924: Milton Long, retired blacksmith, of 1129 Chestnut Street, died at his residence on Tuesday afternoon, after being confined to his home for the past three months. Complications of diseases was the cause of his death. Mr. Long before moving to this city nine years ago, conducted a blacksmith shop at Sunnyside for thirty-two years. He was well known to the residents of that section. A number of years ago, he was a director of the poor of Lebanon County. He was a member of the Salem U. B. Church of this city and took an active part in church work since being retired from the blacksmith work. He leaves to survive, besides his wife, Alice, five children, four daughters: Mrs. Perry Meyer, of Lebanon; Mrs. Arthur R. Miller, of Annville; Mrs. Paul Peters, of Lebanon and Mrs. Arthur Strohman, of Lebanon; one son, Raymond, of New York, and three sisters, Mrs. Jacob Strohm, of Iowa, Mrs. Harry Yeager, of Lebanon, and Mrs. Frank Flucken, of Lebanon.
