Chester Morgan, 86, of Kirbyville died Aug.11, at his residence.
Funeral was Aug. 13 at Beulah Springs Baptist Church with burial in Friendship Cemetery under the direction of Causey's E. E. Stringer Funeral Home.
A native of Roganville, he lived in Texas City before moving to Kirbyville for 21 years and was a retired operator for Marathon Oil Co.
Survivors include his wife, Laura Smith Morgan of Kirbyville; a son, James Morgan of Burney, Mo; three daughters, Wanda Akins and Syble Stanley both of Buna, and Dorothy McClemore of Kemp; 12 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
