Ether Stafford was the son of William Nathan Stafford and grandson of Pvt James Nathan Stafford of the 13th Tenn Cvy Reg US (Civil War). His father and grandfather are buried at Pilgrim's Rest in Christmasville, Carroll County, Tennessee. He is buried next to his wife Eva Welch Stafford.
