A year later, in 1951, she made her film debut in "Quebec." She later appeared in such films as "When Worlds Collide," "It Came from Outer Space," "Robin and the 7 Hoods," and "Hombre." She earned a Golden Globe Award in 1954 for her role in "It Came from Outer Space." She also appeared on the theatrical stage, both on- and off-Broadway throughout her career.
