Leokadia "Lola" (nee Blaszczak) Plocharczyk was the only child of Tomasz Blaszczak and Maria (nee Botwina) Blaszczak. Tomasz and Maria were both born in the small town of Baranow, located in Pulawy County, Poland, later moving to Deblin, Poland when Lola's father joined the Air Force.

Lola was born in Deblin, Poland. Sadly, Lola's mother, Maria, passed away shortly after Lola was born. Lola's father later remarried, passing away at age 48; her step-mother, name unknown, died at age 71.

In 1941, with the occupation of the German government in Poland, Lola was sent to Germany to perform forced labor in a factory. The labor camp was in the city of Brannschweig. In 1947, Lola moved to Hamburg, where she stayed until emigrating to Chicago, Illinois, USA.

Lola married Waclaw "Walter" Plocharczyk in Chicago, Illinois in 1952.

Lola was the loving wife of Walter and beloved mother of Alicia Plocharczyk Bulinski (born March 31, 1960; died in 2021) and Lester Plocharczyk. Lola was also a dear babcia, great-babcia, and aunt who will be forever missed. May you rest in heavenly peace, Lola.
