Earnest Jackson, Jr., age 81, of Bowling Green passed away Friday, February 4, 2022 at his residence in Bowling Green, Kentucky. The Coffeeville, Mississippi native was born Thursday, September 5, 1940 to the late Earnest Jackson, Sr. and Fayettia (Hart) Jackson.
He was of the Baptist faith and worked at General Motors in the Paint Department.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 52 years, Mrs. Doris Ann Jackson, whom he wed on Sunday, April 11, 1965; a daughter, Maria Jackson; brothers, Willie T. Jackson (Angel) and Leroy Jackson (Maggie); and a sister, Essie Yates.
His memories will be cherished by his sons, Earnest Jackson, III, Carl Jackson, and Andre Jackson; brothers, William Jackson (Tammy), Rev. John Jackson (Cynthia), and Elmore Jackson (Carol); sisters, Dora Spearman (Walter) and Julie Jackson (Alfred Moore); twenty-nine grandchildren; twenty-eight great-granchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews, relatives and friends.
Mr. Jackson's Funeral Service will be held Thursday, February 10, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. with burial to follow in Bowling Green Gardens. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral hour at the funeral home on Thursday.
