Professional Baseball Player. He was an American professional baseball player, who made his MLB debut in September of 1953 with the Philadelphia Phillies in the outfield. He played for the Phillies until 1955. After 25 games, he was batting 300. Once again, he got a late start in the 1954 season. It was not until the 1955-1956 seasons that he got to play full seasons. In 1955 he had a batting average of .288 with 15 hits. At the end of the 1955 season he was part of a 6 player trade package to the Cincinnati Redlegs where he only played for one season before retiring from the team. He continued to play in the minor league until 1963. He completed his professional career with four seasons (1964–67) in Nippon Professional Baseball. His career statics in MLB were a .237 batting average, 10 home runs and 43 RBIs in 138 games. He died from the complications of aging at age 90.
