Sydney owned a saw mill at Mill Creek and was known as "Uncle Sonny". He was the son of John Lefevers and Nancy Hoskins. He was married to Mahala Coldiron, Maggie Elliott and Jenny (Patterson) Denny Locke. He married Mahala on April 27, 1891. Their children were: Virgie (m. Garfield Howard), Charley (m. Mattie Nunn), Park (m. Myrtle Twinam), and Lucy (m. David Osborne). He married Maggie Elliott on April 15, 1900 and their children were: Otis (m. Rosa Lee Bullins), Lillie, Josephine, Ethel, Bessie, Farmer, Mildred and Paul. His son Hobert was with Nancy Wilson.
