The November 2016 National Examiner featured an article about this male homeless cat who became an international internet sensation, so says the article, when a photo of him resting with a paw on a curb went viral.
After the article described "ultimate chill fat cat" became ill and relocated to Rainbow Bridge, a bronze statue of him in the famous pose was placed on the bench that was his favorite spot.
Cat lovers leave food at the statue base and notes like this:
"You will live in our hearts. Mascot of our street, beloved TOMBILI lost his struggle for life after a month and closed his eyes to life on first of August."
No one adopted the beloved street cat and provided him a 4ever home, but perhaps he was considered the favorite street cat of all, and that's why no one adopted him.
RIP Tombili.
