Henry was dropped off here, so he just stayed. He wanted nothing to do with the inside of a house. Henry just wanted to be free! He loved to be pet, but DO NOT pick him up!
He lived here from 1981 to 1990. The last year of his life he developed cancer. It was all around his nose, and I finally broke down and had him put to sleep in January of 1990. Before he died I noticed that he was eating a lot of food. I was puzzled since he had a hard time eating. About a week after Henry passed away, a black and white cat came and scratched on the window beside where we were eating supper. My husband said" Well it looks like we have a new tenant and I'll bet that is where Henry's food was going". Well, he was right! I won't finish this story. I'll just tell you to go to this same cemetery and read about Amos, this new kitty that came to say goodbye to Henry. No one can take Henry's place, so Amos just made a place of his own.
Henry was loved, but on is own terms. He died from cancer that had invaded his nasal cavity.
PLEASE HELP IN THE FIGHT AGAINST CANCER - IT IS SUCH A CRUEL DISEASE.
