Nottie Samantha Benson married Jessie Bloomfield Adams in York County, S.C on Jan 8, 1911. They had three children, Mildred P., Margaret Nell and Floyd James. Unfortunately Nottie died in childbirth when her son, my father, was very young. He never got to know his mother. He was raised by his grandparents in Hickory, North Carolina.
