Hezekiah "Kire" Brooks 1792 was born in Prince Edward County and married in Charlotte Co, VA in 1814 to Elizabeth Rowlett, whose brother would become his sister’s 3rd husband. In Claiborne County, Hezekiah received deeds in 1821, 1826, and 1831, and he was recorded on the 1830 census and 1833 tax role. He died about 1837 leaving minor children. He had nine children including George Washington 1815, Bartley 1820, William Gideon 1821, Edward 1822, John H 1823, and Levi Brooks 1824.

Hezekiah had 50 acres in 3 tracts in a bend on S side of Powell River below Elk Bend. This site might be near Eastridge Bend where the river bends sharply back on itself at the “narrows.”
He appears to have another 50 acres nearby and surveyed on same day in 1829.

Hezekiah's should be assigned to Claiborne County, TN -- probably to the Campbell Cemetery off Cedar Fork Rd.
