He was born in Lawrence, Mass., September 8, 1927 one of nine children to the late Anthony and Angelina (Farrarar) Rumore.
He graduated from Lawrence High School with the class of 1945 and received an aassociate’s degree from Boston College. He was a veteran serving with the US Army during WWII.
Mr. Rumore was employed by Sanders Associates in Nashua as a manufacturing engineer and retired in 1989 with 25 years of service.
He was a communicant of St. Elizabeth Church in Seabrook Beach, was a member of the Raymond E. Walton American Legion Post 70, had wintered in Port Richie, Fla. for several years, and enjoyed hunting, fishing and shuffleboard.
The family would like to thank the nurses and doctors at Exeter Hospital for their wonderful care.
He shared 65 years of marriage with his wife, Josephine M. (Laratonda) Rumore of Seabrook.
In addition to his wife, family members include three sons, Anthony Rumore, III and Michele of Seabrook, John Rumore and his wife Cynthia of Methuen, Mass., Richard Rumore and his wife Denise of Brooksville, Fla., three grandchildren, Stephanie, John and his wife Jessica and Samantha, many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his eight brothers and sisters.
Visiting hours will be from 6-8 P.M. Monday, May 12, 2014 at the Remick & Gendron Funeral Home-Crematory, 811 Lafayette Road, Hampton. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 A.M. Tuesday, May 13, 2014 in St. Elizabeth Church, RT 1A, Seabrook Beach. Burial will follow in the Hillside Cemetery, Seabrook. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited.
