Mrs. Minnie "Penny" Pethel Hix, age 87, of Gainesville, Georgia, passed away Tuesday, December 16, 2014.
Funeral services will be held at Memorial Park North Riverside Chapel with interment to follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Hix was a lifelong resident of Hall County, born February 1, 1927, the daughter of the late John Wesley Pethel and Eva Bethina Burt Pethel.
She married Cleo D. “Nebo” Hix December 16, 1945. She worked for many years at Saul’s department store in women’s apparel. Throughout the years she was also employed with Millner’s and numerous other retail services. She was a member of Woodlawn Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Cleo D. “Nebo” Hix; brothers, Donald Pethel, Rev. Austin Pethel, Alton Pethel, Haskell Pethel, Heyward Pethel and 2 infant brothers; sisters, Runell Martin, and Mary Frances Bailes.
Penny is survived by
