Alice Flannery was born June 29, 1929 in Jackson County and departed this life Saturday April, 19, 2008 at the Manchester Memorial Hospital in Clay County, Ky., being 78 years of age. She was the daughter of the late Gilbert and Nannie (Shackleford) Maggard.
Alice is survived by three children, Larry Flannery and Brenda Johnson both of McKee, Ky., Gerry Flannery of Irvine, Kentucky. She is also survived by two brothers Paul Maggard and Elwood Maggard both of McKee and one sister Eda Gilbert of Indiana. She was blessed with 5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Other than her parents Alice was preceded in death by her husband Elmer Flannery and by two brothers Amos Maggard and George Maggard and by two sisters Alma Huff and Betty Belt.
Alice was a member of the Blooming Grove Baptist Church.
