Margaret Bickers, 84, of Warsaw died Friday at the Gallatin Health Care Center in Warsaw following an extended illness.

She was a homemaker and retired cook at Dan's Restaurant in Warsaw and the Capri Restaurant in Florence and a member of the Warsaw Baptist Church.

She is survived by eight daughters, Mary Rae Bond and Peggy Reeves, both of Warsaw, Susie Wiley of Newport, Rosie Dixon of Florence, Joy Ayres of West Union, Ohio, Judy Ward of Laffatte, Tenn., Rita Adams of Boiser City, La., and Elaine Barnett of Owenton; five sons, Russell Bickers, Charles Bickers and Larry Bickers, all of Warsaw, Terry Bickers of Carrollton and Harry Bickers of Owenton; 24 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mildred Watson of Florida and Sue Moore of Cincinnati; and two brothers, Alvin Stamper of Independence and Charlie Stamper of Lawrenceburg, Ind.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Foster Woodrow Bickers; one son, Jerry Thomas Bickers; and two daughters, Katie Tipton and Margaret Corrine Bickers.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. today at the Carlton-Lowder Funeral Home in Warsaw with Bro. Tim Estes officiating.

Burial will be in the Warsaw Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Anthony Bickers, Barry Bickers, Doug Bickers, David Ward, Tommy Ward, Bonita Hawkins and Stacy Station.

Honorary bearers will be Eddie Bickers, George Zubaty, Wayne Caldwell, Nelson Brown, Darrell Maines and Andrew Hawkins.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Gallatin Health Care Activity Fund.
