THROCKMORTON, Louise R., 95, of Mechanicsville, passed away Wednesday, December 25, 2013. She was preceded in death by her husband, J.W. Throckmorton; and is survived by her two sons, Billy Throckmorton (Carol) of Wicomico Church and Bobby Throckmorton (Donna) of Mechanicsville; four grandchildren, Laura Gauntt (Charlie), Gary Throckmorton (Caroll), Melissa Taylor (Jason) and Travis Throckmorton (Erin); four great-grandchildren, Katrina and Garrett Gauntt and Wilson and Parker Throckmorton; one brother, Buster Robertson (Libby); as well as several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Mechanicsville Chapel of the Bennett Funeral Home, 8014 Lee Davis Rd., where services will be held 10 a.m. Monday, December 30, 2013. Interment Westhampton Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 4240 Park Place Ct., Glen Allen, Va. 23060. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Healthcare at Covenant Woods for their care and devotion to Louise.
