Francis Lee, 74, of Spartanburg, SC, died Monday, April 4, 2005, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.

Born September 13, 1930, in Heislerville, NJ, he was the son of the late McKinley Lee and Mary (Geoghagan) Lee.

He worked as Division Personnel Manager for Milliken and Company until he became self-employed as owner of a Management Recruiters franchise and later his own company, Personnel, Inc. and Personnel Temps, Inc., a temporary employment company that made the prestigious Inc. 500 list of fastest growing companies in the nation.

He was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church where he served various offices, including Chairman of the Administrative Board. He also served on the Board of United Methodist Pastoral Counseling Center.

As a longstanding member of Toastmasters International, he received several awards and was instrumental in starting a number of local clubs. He was also a former member and past president of the local chapter of the South Carolina Personnel Association.

As a Veteran of the Korean War, he served in the U.S. Air Force in the 801st Medical Air Evacuation Squadron which transported the wounded military from Korea to larger hospitals in Japan.

Survivors include his wife, Shirley (Bradway) Lee; four daughters, Vivianne Carey and her husband Michael Carey of Spartanburg, Marianne Beck and her husband Byron Beck of Charlotte, NC, Dianne Stoudemire and her husband Gerald Stoudemire of Columbia, and Meredith Duffy Baehr and her husband Lamar Baehr of Inman; five grandchildren, Michael and Meghan Carey, Jacob and Miranda Beck, and Ratchford Ford Baehr; two step-grandchildren, Brandon and Amber Stoudemire of Columbia; a sister, Mary Ann Cottrell of Dorchester, NJ; two brothers-in-law, Melvin Bradway of Vineland, NJ, and David Bradway of Marlton, NJ; two sisters-in-law, Phyllis Rooker of Los Osos, CA, and Dolores Zampetti of Reading, PA; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation was 6:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday, April 7, 2005, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel.

Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 8, 2005, at St. Paul United Methodist Church, conducted by the Rev. Neil M. Yongue, Jr. Burial was in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.

Francis Lee, 74, of Spartanburg, SC, died Monday, April 4, 2005, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.
