Thelma (Wilkie) Mason, 89, of Spartanburg, SC, died Saturday, March 5, 2005.

Born April 20, 1915, in Spartanburg, she was a daughter of the late William George Wilkie, Jr. and Mattie Eastes Wilkie. She was the wife of the late James Thomas Mason.

Mrs. Mason operated Masons Beauty Shop for over 40 years and was a member of River Hills Baptist Church.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Alan and Linda Mason of Moore, SC; a sister, Ruth Hyatt of Camp Croft, SC; two grandchildren, Kevin Mason and his wife Stacy of Spartanburg, and Heather Wilson and her husband Steve, also of Spartanburg; two great-grandchildren, Haylie Wilson and Brea Wilson, both of Spartanburg.

Visitation was 7:00-9:00 p.m., Monday, March 7, 2005, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel.

Graveside services were held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 8, 2005, at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, conducted by the Rev. C. Kent Smith.

Memorials could be made to Hospice Special Needs Fund, 120 Heywood Avenue, Suite 300, Spartanburg, SC 29302; or to Parkinsons Disease Research, Emory University, 1365 Clifton Road, Atlanta, GA 30322.
