James Taylor Galpin was cremated at Cook-Walden/Davis Funeral Home in Georgetown, Texas. His urn remains with his widow/family and some of his ashes were spread over launch pad 39A at Kennedy Space Center, Florida. This was the site of the launch for America's first landing on the moon in July 1969 and one of Jim's favorite career memories.
