I was born in Indianapolis, Indiana in 1988 to Gail Johnson and Larry Bass. I grew up with my mother, Aunt Sharon Johnson and grandmother Roxie Johnson in Indy, my grandfather George Johnson passed in 1979 before I was born. I grew up hearing many stories from my grandma of her travels with her family in the 1950s and 60s to visit relatives in Montezuma, Indiana (Orville and Catherine) and Flagpond, Tennessee (Mary Ray). I have many extended relatives through my great aunts and uncles that I have never met, even some photos of family members from many many years ago.
