Served aboard the USS Oriskany CVA 34 met Birget and her good friend Marie while ship was in Hunters Point Navel shipyard . Birgit was a sweet lovely person so very sad that she passed so young.

Added 1Feb 2023. Birgit Nelson was so caring and interested in a Sailor from Michigan. Regrets: I wish I would have stayed in touch with Her. Like they say I wish I knew then what I know NOW.
