I started out researching the Wyatt and Earwood family names over 20 years ago. I found this site after becoming frustrated trying to find an uncle in the family. Everyone still living in the family said his name was Jack. It turns out his full name was Claude Everett, but no one left living knew that! I knew I had the right individual because someone had taken a photo of the headstone of his wife and thankfully they had one with both names transcribed. It unlocked a mystery that had been perplexing me for 5 years. It also taught me the importance of this site in giving clues to family genealogists.
I appreciate all who have taken the time to help preserve family names and their memories.
