Bio

My name is April and I have a one-year old daughter named Gracie. We live in Tennessee. I am the youngest of six children (three boys and three girls). My parents are still living and so are four of my siblings. My brother David passed away May 7, 2002 at the age of 33. He made the difficult choice to take his own life. My family and I to this day still do not know why he chose to do what he did. His passing has left a huge hole in my heart that I'm afraid will never be filled. We were so close growing up. He was nine years older than me so in my eyes he was my protector. About a year before his death we grew apart and did not get along that well. I would do anything to go back and change things, but that's impossible.
He was the type of person that could do anything he set his mind to. I don't think he ever realized the gifts he possessed. David was always joking and laughing and just being silly. Anyone that knew him would call him the life of the party. He was the type of guy that could make you laugh no matter what kind of mood you were in. Not only did he have a great sense of humor, he had a huge heart. He would give you his last dollar if you needed it. One time for instance, he came across an elderly woman from out of town whose car was broken down. He purchased the part she needed and towed her car to his garage and fixed it so she could travel back to her home. There were so many acts of kindness like that, too many to mention.
His daughter Ali was nine years old when he passed. They were more than father and daughter, they were best friends. He was a great dad and loved her so much. He is truly missed by all his family...
