Coy Thomas, 71, of Rush County, died Sept. 29, 2009.
Born Oct. 29, 1937 in Ewing, Va., he was the son of Joseph Thomas and Grace (Muncey) Thomas, both deceased. He married Imogene Peck April 7, 1956; she preceded him in death July 1, 2002.
Mr. Thomas worked in assembly at Schnadig.
Survivors include daughter, Regina (Randy) Sharp of Arlington; brothers, (twin) Roy Thomas and Wayne Thomas, both of Tazwell, Tenn.; sisters, Annie (Ken) Goad of Robbins, Tenn., Christen (Hobart) Murphy of Knoxville, Tenn. and Jearleen Leisure of Rushville; grandchildren, Zachary Sharp, Kassidy Gordon, Dakota Sharp and Shyla Sharp; and one great-granddaughter.
Besides his parents and wife he was preceded in death by four brothers and one sister.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Moster Mortuary in Rushville with Phillip Murphy officiating. Burial will follow in Arlington East Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday at the mortuary.
