Clara D. Place, 85, of Bowling Green passed away Friday, June 1, 2012. Clara was born in Tullahoma, Tennessee to the late Collis Andrew and Lillie (Osborne) Cunningham. She is survived by her daughters: Sandra (John) Groth of Grand Blanc, Michigan; Janice Barclay of Bowling Green, Ohio; Julie (Robert) Croghan of Cygnet, Ohio; Sons: Ronnie Place, of Bowling Green, Ohio; Larry Place of Wyoming; 11 grandchildren; and 22 great grandchildren. Along with her parents Clara was preceded in death by a infant daughter: Janet Sue Place; 4 sisters and 2 brothers. Clara was a member of the First Baptist Church in Bowing Green. She worked for the Woodhaven Nursing Home as a head cook until she retired. Clara loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be missed dearly by her family. Funeral Services for Clara will be held Tuesday, June 5, 2012 at 11:00 AM in the First Baptist Church, 749 South Wintergarden Road, Bowling Green, Ohio. Visitation will be one hour prior the service at the church. Interment will follow the Funeral Service in Oak Grove Cemetery, Bowling Green.
