Martha M. Rains,91, passed away Monday, December 29, 2003, at Middlesboro Appalachian Regional Hospital. She was born November 2, 1912, in Noetown, Bell County, the daughter of Preston and Lucy Reynolds Rains. She believed in the Holiness faith.In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a son, George Otis Minor; four sisters; a granddaughter, Barbara Jean Green; and a son-in-law, Billy Green. Survivors include two children: S.B. Minor of Middlesboro and Zelphia Green of Knoxville,Tennessee;three sisters: Cora Duncan, Hazel Hoskins and Bonnie Underwood, all of Middlesboro; 11 grandchildren;and a host of great grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.Funeral services were conducted at Creech Funeral Home with the rev. Deboyce Givens officiating. Burial was in the Hensley Chapel Cemetery.
