Albert Brooks a former Monroe County resident passed away
at 72 years of age.
Albert was born to the parents of Genius Brooks and Daisy
Morgan Brooks in Knoxville.Tenn.The family moved to Monore
Michigan and settled there.Albert grew up in the eastside of
Monroe,attending public schools.Albert met the love of his
life,Mary Borsa,they married on May 28th.1941.Out of their union
were born a son and daughter.Albert was a truck driver
for Weiss Matlock,retiring in 1984.Albert stayed very close
to his parents,brothers and sister.He was devoted to his
wife and children.Sadly his wife Mary passed away in 1989.
Years later,Albert moved in with his daughter Patricia,
till his death.Albert leaves behind his son,Bill Brooks of
Sedona,Ariz,daughter,Patricia Eckhardt of Toledo,Ohio.
Six grandchildren,and two great.
Albert was preceded in death by his wife,parents,and two
brothers,James Brooks of Monroe,and Frank Brooks of Colo.
