Mrs. Jewell Ann Starnes Adams, 58, of Lancaster passed away Friday, December 3, 2010 at MUSC in Charleston. She was born April 5, 1952 in Lancaster, a daughter of the late Leroy and Mildred Elizabeth Mackey Starnes. Mrs. Adams was a member of High Point Freewill Baptist Church where she was a member of the Adult Sunday School class. She was married for 42 years and was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend.
A service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Adams will be held Sunday, December 5, 2010 at 4 pm at the Lancaster Funeral Home- Chapel with the Rev. James B. Wilhide and Rev. Dr. Leroy B. Lowery officiating.
Mrs. Adams is survived by her husband, James "Paul" Adams of Lancaster; a son, James Bryan Adams and his fiance Shasta of Lancaster; two daughters, Tammy Denice Adams and Crystal Ann Cook and her husband Randy, both of Lancaster; a brother, Lewis Starnes and his wife Amy of Lancaster; two sisters, Aline Powell and her husband Orren and Brenda Grier and her husband Robert, both of Lancaster; six grandchildren, Justin Coy, Brandon Cook, Ryan Cook, Victoria Cook, Matthew Adams, and Brylie Adams. She was preceded in death by brothers, Leroy Starnes, Jr. and Harry Franklin Starnes and granddaughter, Christie Adams.
