Josephine C.Patterfritz Downey was born to the parents
of Joseph and Carmella Doppossi Patterfritz in Monroe,Michigan.
Josephine passed away March 9th.2012 at Medilodge.
with her family by her bedside.Josephine had been in
bad health for several years.She had caregivers .Betty,
her niece,George.,a nephew,Vickey a niece,and a friend
Beverly.Josephine grew up in the eastside of Monroe.
She attended St.Joseph school and church.She was very
close to her family,especially her twin sister,Madeline.
Josephine married George Burt in 1951.She was a devoted
wife and homemaker.Sadly her husband passed in 1965.
Years went by and she met her second husband.Bill Downey
from Canada.There Josephine made her home for twenty years.
Visits to the states to see her big family.Josephine loved
the outdoors,camping.and she loved her pets.A dog Heidi.,
and her parakeets.She also loved to play bingo.Josephine was
proud to raise her stepson Randy.
In 1992
Josephine moved back to Michigan. unti her death.She attended church and
was baptized in Jesus name.she enjoyed her church and
brothers and sisters in the Lord.Her favorite hobby was
crocheting,she loved company.and her family mostly.
Josephine left behind,a twin sister Madeline,sister
Catherine,two brothers,Michael and Anthony Camillo
Nieces,nephews.She was a great,great,great.aunt.
Her parents have passed before her,four brothers.and
four sisters she lost.She will be loved and missed by
her family forever.Rest in peace.Lay your head on the
lap of our Lord Jesus Christ.
