The special spirit who was Sarah Apollo...to remember what an extraordinarily sensitive, caring and giving person she was. For her, sharing was second nature. She came from a large, loving family. She had four brothers, Santo, Frank, Tony and Sammy and four sisters, Josie, Katie, Ann and Irene....and of course her parents, Salvatore and Antonina. And from that family foundation, Sarah created her own family with her husband Victor. She personified the words devoted wife and loving mother. There was no greater joy for Sarah than her family. That was the light of her life. Her reason for living. No sacrifice was ever too great for her to make for her husband or her children. How happy she was for the life her daughter Dina created with her husband, Walter and most of all, for giving her two of the greatest joys of her life...her cherished grandchildren Steven and Elizabeth. Her son Guy was a source of great happiness for her. All those close to Sarah and Guy knew the enduring bond they both shared. Everyone knew how Sarah's eyes would light up when he walked into the room. How do you sum up over 48 years of marriage? All the holidays, anniversaries, birthdays...and Christmases filled with laughter? For Victor, her loyal husband , his special memory...the one no one can ever take away from him...is that of he and his beautiful young bride as they started out filled with dreams down the road of life together. Everything good and true and honest are the things that are the spirit of Sarah Apollo. On certain crystal clear evenings, when you look deep into the night sky...your eyes might catch a particularly bright and shining star---and it is then that you will remember the bright and shining Sarah. The bright and shining wife. The bright and shining mother. and we will all give thanks for the sparkling way in which she touched our lives. Her memory will forever be etched in our hearts.
