Mildred Levern Taylor Childers, 70, of South 3rd Street, Lockhart, widow of Willie Childers died May 19, 1992, in Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Childers was born in Lockhart, June 17, 1921, a daughter of the late Jarvis and Eunice Taylor. She was a member of the Lockhart FreeWill Baptist Church and a member of the church choir.

Survivors include a daughter, Glenda C. Bishop of Lockhart; three sons, Jantzen and Arnold Childers both of Union, Gonzalee Childers of Enoree, S.C.; a sister, Mrs. Addie Roberts of Lockhart; a half brother, Paul Taylor of Lockhart; 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 7 until 9 tonight at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Home in Union. Services will be at 4 p.m. Thursday at Lockhart FreeWill Baptist Church by Revs. Danny Keen and Calvin Smith. Burial will be in Mt. Tabor Presbyterian Church Cemetery. The body will be in the church at 3 p.m. Thursday. The family is at the home of a son, Jantzen Childers, Route 5, Lower Lockhart Road, Union.
