Ivan Bud Lloyd, 92, was born in Riverton, Utah on April 5, 1919. The son of Madeline and Walter Lloyd he moved with his family to the Bear Lake Valley and remained a resident there until his passing on Sept. 27, 2011.
Bud was a rancher, county worker, and avid local rodeo promoter and enthusiast who with his first wife Dorothy Brown Lloyd raised three daughters Nancy Lloyd Kocer, Linda Lloyd McCalmon, and Marjorie Lloyd Sarvello.
Later in life he married Colleen Jonas and they lived happily enjoying their families and each other's company until her passing in 1999.
Bud was the last of the great cowboys who lived his life on his own terms, his determination and hardworking ways, always peppered with a head tilt, sly grin, and a laugh. He was loved early by his family and will be missed greatly.
Bud is preceded in death by his wife, Colleen Jonas Lloyd, and his sisters, Orange Lloyd Zumbrennen and Verla Lloyd Prohaska.
He left behind his children; Jerry and Nancy Lloyd Kocer, Jerry and Linda Lloyd McCalmon, and Pete and Marjorie Lloyd Sarvello; his siblings; Doyle and Fern Lloyd, and Dixie and Harvey Pulley; his grandchildren: Marcus Jensen, Scott McCalmon, Tara Burkhardt, Melanie Casper, Ryan McCalmon, Patrick Rodman, Jennifer Rodman, Jessica Johnson, and Chelsea Emery.
He also leaves 11 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held on Oct. 1, at the Dingle LDS Church.
Interment was in the Dingle Cemetery.
