Cynthia Bentley Collings Andrews, 90, of Hampton, died on Monday, September 5, 2011. Born in Cleveland, Ohio, Mrs. Andrews graduated from St. Catherines School in Richmond in 1938, and Hollins College, Class of 1942. She was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church and had served on the board of the Junior Nature Museum now the Virginia Living Museum, the Virginia Institute of Marine Science, two terms as President of the Virginia Nature Conservancy, was a member of the Hampton Yacht Club, the Commonwealth Club, and the Farmington Country Club. Mrs. Andrews was preceded in death by her husband, Senator Hunter B. Andrews; and son, H. Booker Andrews Jr. She is survived by her daughter, Bentley Robinson Andrews; and grandsons, Hunter George Perrot and Cabell Dumas Perrot. A Funeral Service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Thursday, September 8, 2011, at St. John's Episcopal Church by the Rev. Anna C. Noon with interment to follow in St. John's Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be sent to the Virginia Living Museum or a favorite charity. Arrangements by R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home, Hampton, Va., 757 723-3191.
