Virginia A. Whistler Eubanks was my Great Great Grandmother. She was born in Kentucky on May 18,1849 and died on September 5,1880 at the age of 31 years and 4 months. She married James Montgomery Eubanks and had her first child, my Great Grandmother Malinda Isophene Eubanks, On December 25,1873. Her second child, Monroe Eubanks was born in 1875 and her third child, Sarah A. Eubanks was born in 1878. The possibility exists that Virginia died in childbirth since she was of childbearing age and her last child had been born 2 years before her death. The epitaph on her headstone reads: "Dear Mother, In Earth's Thorny Paths, How Long Thy Feet Have Trod! To Find At Last This Peaceful Rest, Safe In The Arms Of God. Rest in peace, Great Great Grandmother. You will never be forgotten.
