DR. MILTON DeLANDRY MONTGOMERY 4/17/27-02/06/04 Dr. Milton D. Montgomery was life-long resident of Riverside, CA. He graduated from Riverside Polytechnic High School in 1944 where he lettered in football, baseball and track and field. In 1944, at the age of 17, he enlisted in the Navy where he was trained as a radioman/tailgunner on torpedo planes. Following his service he attended Riverside City College and Rice University in Texas. He obtained his DDS from the University of Southern California Dental School in 1951, graduating with honors. He then served as Captain in the U.S. Air Force in Korea. After his service there he set up his practice in Riverside. In 1960 he returned to school at USC and obtained his MS in Orthodontics in 1962. Since then he practiced in Riverside and taught orthodontics at the USC Dental School. Doctor Montgomery was an avid outdoorman, hunter, and fisherman. He was a leader for Riverside Boy Scout Troop 9 and an Eagle Scout Examiner for many years. He is survived by his two sisters, Greta Habben of Riverside, and Betty Dunn of Denver, Colorado; his five children: daughter, Janet, an attorney in Chicago, Illinois; son, Robert, a businessman and an Arborist in Yucaipa; his daughter Kristine, and audiologist in Honolulu, Hawaii; son Steven, a veterinarian in Blythe; son, David, a construction engineer and contractor in Gavilan Springs. He is also survived by his six grandchildren: Erin, Nathan & Alyssa Montgomery, Sarah & Stacy Takekawa, and Robert Montgomery. A Visitation will be held Friday, February 13 from 5PM to 8PM at Acheson & Graham Garden of Prayer, 7944 Magnolia Ave., Riverside. A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 14, at 10:30 AM at Grove Community Church in Riverside, 5320 Victoria Ave., Riverside. A memorial celebration will immediately follow at The Elks Lodge-6166 Brockton Ave., Riverside
