Farmer Alexander
Funeral for Farmer Alexander, 86 of 204 Davis Ave. was 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 31. He died Dec. 29, in Stephens County Hospital.
Born in Stephens County, Sept. 21, 1908, he was the son of the late William Thomas and Beulah Bowers Alexander. He was retired from Hartwell Mills with 47 years of service. He was a member of Hill Street Baptist Church and a deacon. The widower of Jewell McCroskey Alexander.
Survivors include four daughters, Martha Carter of Winston, Margie Sutton of Lawrenceville, Betty Jo Morris of Huey Town, Ala. and Nancy Isbell of Toccoa; a son, James Alexander of Toccoa; a sister, Mattie Collins of Toccoa; 13 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral was at Hill Street Baptist Church with the Rev. Paul Garrison and the Rev. Jarrett Ragen officiating. Burial was in Stephens Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers were Jason Isbell, Kevin Isbell, Kerry Isbell, Mark Carter, Richard Morris and Hal Alexander.
Acree-Davis Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
