Funeral services for Mr. Keith Hayes deVille will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, April 9, 2011 at Vick Baptist Church in Vick, LA with Brother Dobie Perkins officiating. Interment will be held in Vick Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Marksville.
Mr. deVille, age 78, of Rockwall, TX passed away on Tuesday, April 5, 2011 at his residence. He is preceded in death by his parents, Orenzena and Ardelus deVille, who died within days of his birth, brother, Autra deVille, and sister, Gay Nell deVille.
Keith attended Louisiana State University for 2 years but left to join the army. After Keith's service to our country he graduated from the University of Houston with a degree in business. He began his career in the insurance business then he became a stock broker with Goodbody/Merrill Lynch for many years. Keith left the brokerage business and started a commercial roofing company. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Dallas for 40 years. After moving to Rockwall, Keith started the Rockwall Rowlett Garden Club. He was a member of Big Brother, Little Brother Association. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Fern Louise Padgett deVille of Rockwall, TX and son, Keith Hayes deVille, Jr. of Dallas, a niece and nephew and many cousins and friends.
