John H. Kelder. 88, died this morning at the home of his daughter, Mrs. William G. Scheffel, 166 West Street, Newburgh. where he has resided for the past four years. For most of his life Mr. Kelder had been employed as a painting contractor. He was bom here, the son of the late Henry and Emma LeFever [incorrect] Kelder. He was the husband of the late Margaret Larkin Kelder. Besides his daughter, he is survived by a son, Gerard J. Kelder, Kingston; four grandchildren and five great grandchildren. The funeral will be held Thursday at 9 a. m. at James M. Murphy Funeral Home, 176 Broadway; thence to St. Mary's Church where at 9:30 a. m. a high Mass of requiem will be offered for the repose of his soul. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p. m.
