Graveside funeral services will be held on Wednesday afternoon at 2 p.m. in the West Side District Cemetery for former Taft Resident, Harold L. Abney, 53, of Tracy.

Mr. Abney was born in Wayne, Oklahoma on August 1, 1932 and passed away Sunday morning, March 30, 1986, in a hospital in Walnut Creek.

Mr. Abney was educated in Taft and was a member of the Taft Union High School graduating class of 1950. He served in the U.S. Army from 1953 to 1955. Mr. Abney was employed for over 31 years by Chevron U.S.A. He moved from Taft to Portland, Ore. in 1968. He was a member of the Issaquah, Washington Elks Lodge and the National Rifleman's Association.

His survivors include his wife, his four sons, his eight grandchildren, his mother, his brother, and his sister.

Those who wish to may call at the Erickson & Brown Funeral Home on Tuesday until 8:30 p.m. and again on Wednesday from 8:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. to pay their respects.
