Marlene, 69, died at 11:55 p.m., at her home.

She was a daughter to Lawrence B. and Marcella (Palmer) Seaman. In Dec 1963, she married Sam Owsley, who survives.

Also surviving are a son, Kenneth S., Lima; five grandchildren, Karlene, Anita, Venessa, Hunter and Kenneson; four brothers, Carl (Veronica) Hinton and Larry (Koneta) Seaman, all AZ, and Keith (Lisa) Seaman, and Joe Sherman, both Lima; and four sisters, Jane Groves and Sue Brown, CA, and Grace (Mark) Lugibil and Deanna (Billie Gene) Smith, Lima.

She graduated from Bath High School. While in high school, she won Miss Betty Crocker and when asked what her goal is life was, she replied "housewife." During this time, she became a seamstress. A few years after her marriage, she became a landlady, mastering repairs on everything in and around the house. She enjoyed working on houses and was able to plumb, do electrical work and tar roofs. She was a "super woman." She enjoyed the outdoors, scrapbooking and dancing. She had helped Dr. Rudy Schneidhorst, DVM. She continued to nurture sick animals and loved all animals, cats, dogs and especially her chickens. She was an all-around very social person, having a passion for life. Helping people and always willing to lend a helping hand, she was full of advice and would always get to the point; considered a mom to many. Very content with what she had, she never asked for much. She was blessed with a loving family and many friends.

Services will be at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville, with Pastor Matthew Oliver, officiating.
