Charlotte Elizabeth Irwin was born in MO to Irish father and American born mother. She lost both her parents around the time of the Civil War, and was raised by a family named Dunn (poss adopted). She married Thomas Anfunsen of Denmark, who later changed his name to Charley Anderson Brighton after the War. They moved to Texas, living in Young County, later Throckmorton and Haskell. He died in 1909,in Haskell, and she married a Land of Manassa, Colo. After he passed away, she moved to Eliasville and lived with her daughter Jenny(Virgina)Martin. She and Charley had three children; Rosa Jane (married Claude Mooneyham), Thomas O. and Virginia (Jenny). Charity passed into the Lord's care in February of 1935.
